Job Title: Accountant
Summary/Objective: The Accountant is a full-time position responsible for serving as a team leader in the finance department and ensuring the department creates accurate and timely financial records for the organization.
Essential Functions:
· Responsible for general accounting work required to maintain the company’s general ledger.
· Prepares general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
· Maintains responsibility for the integrity of general ledger balances in fixed assets.
· Reconciling bank statements and preparing weekly cash reconciliation reports.
· Preparing various tax reports monthly, quarterly, and annually for all companies.
· Prepares financial statements.
· Analyzes, records and reports accounting transactions in a timely manner.
Crucial Skills:
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
· Proficient in accounting software. Viewpoint software a plus.
· US GAAP knowledge
· Financial Regulations Acumen
· Action Oriented
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to work well with people in a professional manner.
· Ability to work independently.
· Strong Written and Oral communication skills.
Minimum Requirements:
· Associate’s Degree in Accounting with relevant experience or Bachelor’s Degree.
Physical Demands: This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. The ability to bend, stand, hear, and speak as necessary.
Work Environment: This job operates in an administrative, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
